Ten days in Paris

Having been to Paris a few times now I have a general idea of where things are and how to get around on the metro. But sometimes finding a street when its dark and in a neighborhood I’m not familiar with can be stressful and when I get stressed I get more dyslexic. But once again I have to thank the wonderful women of France for helping me out when I’m lost.. I asked a girl on the street if she knew the address I had written down. She empted her bag right there on the street looking for her map. When she decided there was nothing left hiding it within he bag she brought me back to the door of her apartment to leave her things and find a map.. Turns out the address was just around the corner and I had missed the street because it looked like a driveway. But I mad it there and everything was good again..

My forth time in Paris and I got to spend more then 2 days in this city I have so much desire to enjoy. In 1997, I was here two times and only once did I spend time around the Eiffel tower. So this trip I was determined to do some more photography of the city.. But it is so cold here.. I am wearing all the warm cloths I have. 2 t-shirts, 1 long sleeve, 2 sweaters one of them wool, my vest and my rain jacket over it all. Then I have my fleece tights under my jeans. I look like I belong in the movie “A Christmas Story.”  Nevertheless, I did get my self out of the house as often as possible and enjoyed exploring Paris with a few different friends. (For those of you who don’t know the movie the child is wearing so many layers he can hardly move.)

X-Mass away from home is never easy. In 2000, I was in Melbourne Australia and was brought out into the country with a friend to her parent’s house. It was a very different way of celebrating X-Mass then I had ever done. But I don’t remember if I had been able to call my parents or not..
This year I did. It was so wonderful to have such a great place to spend X-Mass with friends while I’m so far away from home.
